About
As early as I can remember, I knew I was different from everyone around me. So far, my life has been an adventure, exploring who and what I am, what we all are. Every question leads to many possible answers, none of which are complete. So I continue to chase each possibility and explore. Until now, I have kept my pondering to myself, mainly because I felt most of the people around me would think I was completely crazy.
While I was raised in a fundamentalist Christian home, my early encounters with the metaphysical told me that there was more to the story. So as I turned to science to supply the answers, but I found just as many unanswered questions. After trying other sources who claimed to have answers, I realized that any answer worth having must be gained by experience and open-ended exploration. I don’t wear a label or belong to a category or fit in a little box. I am seeking my path, not telling anyone else what their own should be.
Now, as I reach my middle years I am more confident in my own ways of learning and knowing. I don’t want to leave a legacy of hiding and fear to my children. I want them to feel good about being different and free to believe that anything is possible. Too many of us who experience the universe differentlly have hidden from ridicule and rejection. I feel it is time for me to open up and share my questions and my journey.
