Human
Where did we come from?
- Catastrophic events have repeatedly shrunk the hominid gene pool to small isolated populations.
- Isolated post catastrophic hominid groups refined recessive traits. This may be the origin of the various types.
- Homo sapiens survived the rest by interbreeding and out-breeding, not higher intelligence or civilization.Perhaps the remnant small hominids then reconnected and merged, repeatedly.
- Wouldn’t this have refined certain traits then spread them back out for novel combinations?
- Many hominids have developed and reached some level of civilization. Just because we find evidence of past advanced civilizations does not mean they were exactly the same as us.Perhaps some ancient race had developed far beyond us then annihilated themselves?
- We may have devolved from a more sophisticated hominid, rather than evolved.
- Genetic analysis rather than phenotypical classification should tell us a lot about true hominid migration and development.
- I suspect that the different physical traits of hominid groups were essentially breeds that developed from the repeat isolation of smaller breeding groups. I am not convinced that there were ever different species of hominid. Could it be a simple prejudice to try to define the different as ‘other’.
- Human populations separated long before timeline for flood and creation myths – North American could have been populated initially over 40,000 years ago
- If all cultures have the flood myth, then it either happened to them also or was a retelling of a much older flood
- Modern humans around between half a million to 2 million years, so the universal flood could be a story from many thousands of years ago but regularly updated and assimilated by each culture
- Given the long timeline without significant physical change, what started the cultural revolutions about 15,000 years ago in the fertile crescent? Domestication? End of major ice age? Did the last ice age wipe out major resource competitors, such as big mammals or other hominids Did the ice age force a co-mingling of various groups which then spawned cultural revolution? Why was this cycle different?
- Already genetic analysis is revealing the DNA from a variety of hominids in various human populations. As I suspected, we have hybridized in many different groups in waves.
- Is our breeding cycle radically different from other great apes?
- Why do humans not have a full covering of body hair as do other apes? Early hominids should have had full body hair, so why not have cryptids that are related now with full body hair.
- Look at similarities and overlap of god traits between human cultures
- Even the very notion of god or religion may be unique to us or may a front for long ago contact or our own limited way to explain wonders
- What is the original human culture, when and where?
- How many times did humans start to develop civilizations which then failed?
- We are a high risk, chaos based species due to our adaptation to a highly variable world environment
- Biology/Evolution
Virus interaction with hominid DNA may have resulted in transformative evolution. Perhaps viruses have been one of the major drivers in evolution. (see http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16476498 and http://www.panspermia.org/panfluenza.htm )
